So we are finally, finally set up on health insurance for Lawson...
Sheesh, it's only taken us 3+ months of us living here to finally have everything up and running smoothly!
With that said, I was finally able to take Lawson in for his first well child check since he was 6 months old.
We always seem to move right around the time a well child check should happen which means we don't have health insurance for a period of time since we have to reapply for Medicaid/CHIP every time we move.
But we should be good to go for the next 4 years while we're here!
So I took Lawson in on Wednesday for his 15 month check up and here's his stats:
Height: 32.28" (82 cm)- 83.7 percentile
Weight: 27.1 lbs- 82.41 percentile
Head Circumference: 19.29" (49 cm)- 92.0 percentile
Not too bad, eh?
Everything looked great and the doctor said he's doing well!
Unfortunately, she didn't have a magic solution for his picky eating habits.
(BOO!)
She said to just keep what we're doing and he'll eat when he's hungry.
Guess I'll just have to trust her on this one.
Hopefully it gets better soon because it can get pretty frustrating at times!
Poor little guy had to get two shots though.
Shots have just kept getting worse and worse the older he gets.
He was screaming and crying before the nurse even gave him the shot!
Made me want to start crying too...
But then he was fine about 10 seconds after it was over.
Funny kid.
A little bit about Lawson at 15 months:
He is the typical toddler-full of lots of energy and constantly on the go!
He absolutely loves basketball and football. He’s a true boy through and through! We gave him a basketball hoop and ball for his birthday and it has quickly become his favorite thing to play with. Whenever he sees a football game he yells out “ba-ba!” (football) and gets so excited! He will usually always have some sort of ball within his reach at all times!
He also loves to read and look at books. Throughout the day, he regularly brings a new book up to me begging me to look at it and read it with him.
He also loves animals. In fact, the majority of his vocabulary words right now are animal names or noises. His favorites are the turtles he can see in the lake behind our apartment followed closely by any sort of dog. Whenever a dog is in sight he’ll start barking like one and run up to pet it!
He’s at such a fun age right now. We love playing and interacting with him and watching him grow and continue learning day to day!
Him and his basketball...they're pretty much inseparable at this point.
Love this little boy so much!
Happy Friday everyone!
