Wow, this last week has been a busy one!
(Hence the lack of updates...)
Travis's mom and sister came to visit us!
It was so much fun to finally have some visitors and get to show our new place off.
Basically, we love it here in Galveston and want everyone else to love it also...
Of course, the main thing we did was hang out at the beach.
How awesome is it to come for a visit in the middle of October and get to spend time on the beach?
We all got completely sunburned
(except Lawson who was covered in 50 spf)
from the lack of sunscreen put on.
The beach can be pretty deceiving in October!
But we had a great time hanging out and of course Lawson loved it like usual.
Lawson quickly made friends with this dog, Bernita.
She was the sweetest dog ever.
Lawson would not let her out of his sight and was always petting and playing with her.
When it was time for her to leave he followed and cried after her.
It was pretty cute!
Maybe one day we'll get a dog. Maybe.
His latest beach trend is eating the seashells.
I found several in his mouth all at once.
Weird kid...
Loving playing in and eating that sand!
Boys will be boys I guess.
This is what Travis was up to the whole time...
Did he catch anything? And did I finally let him bring them home?
(More on this later!)
Another fun thing we did was rent one of these family bikes and biked down Seawall next to the ocean.
(Travis always says that technically it's the Gulf but whatever...)
It was actually a decent amount of work and we all worked up quite the sweat!
But that's ok because we definitely needed to work off all the delicious food we ate during their visit...
The whole group!
Lawson was far too distracted by the cars to look at the camera...
Next to the ocean!
The weather was perfect at night to do this.
Lawson loved riding up front and not having to do any of the work.
What a life...
We also headed down to The Strand which is the historic area of Galveston and looked around all the old time buildings and went in all the local shops.
And as mentioned, ate some pretty awesome food!
We also hit up a couple of board games together.
Travis and I love games but it's kinda hard to play with only two people so we love when people come to play with us!
And other than that we just hung out and enjoyed being able to see each other!
Lawson has changed so much since we moved from Colorado so it was fun for him to show off all his new tricks.
He sure does love his Grandma and Aunt Rissa!
Thanks for the visit!

Katelyn! Looks like a great time! I have missed you. I know what you mean about the board games. It's great to have other people to play with. Anyway. Can't wait to find out what happened with the fish. :) Love you girl! Oh and way to be awesome and exercise while site seeing. :)
