So, as mentioned earlier, we went to Mexico with Travis' family for Spring Break this year.
We stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe about an hour outside of Cancun.
We love this place!
It's all inclusive so they have all the food and fruity drinks you could ever dream of at your disposal.
Plus it's right on the beach and a super nice resort.
What more could you ask for?
(Warning: This is a major picture overload post...)

This is how we were able to entertain Lawson on our flight.
Oh, and we got first class...
Gotta love the perks of traveling with Travis' dad!

First time in the ocean.
Didn't go nearly as well as we thought.

First time in the sand.
Once again, didn't go very well.
He would even touch it or play with his toys at all!
He warmed up to it a little more as the week went on.

This is how he spent the majority of the vacation.
Chillin' in the shade with Mommy.
Unfortunately that meant no tan for me...
Oh well, I guess he's worth it.

He loved, loved, loved the pool!
Good thing because obviously the beach was a definite no go.
Lawson and Aunt Emma were best buds on this trip.
Emma was basically his second mom the whole time.
How cute is that?
Lovin' his pool float!
Poor kid...
He would wear himself out so much everyday and fall asleep
in my arms before we could make it back to the
room for nap time.
Chillin' in the back pack with Daddy.
This thing was a life saver on this trip!

The whole gang at the ruins in Coba.
Riding bikes in between the ruin sites at Coba.
Our tour guide is there on the left.
He's an LDS tour guide and his name is Lemuel.
(Don't worry, he's nothing like the "real" Lemuel. He's super nice and basically awesome...)
He gave us an amazing tour with lots of LDS insights.
We got a taxi ride instead of riding bikes at Coba.
Very fun!
Nine story high temple at Coba.
The picture doesn't do it justice at all.
Poor kid.
He was very tired...
It's so cool to be able to stand on the ruins and think of the actual people who
lived here thousands of years ago.
Very neat experience.

Travis and I rode a zip line over a lagoon filled with wild crocodiles.
We actually saw 3 right below us while going over.
Kinda nerve wracking.
Swimming at the cenote.
(An underground water cave sort of thing)
I didn't enjoy it very much.
Unknown deep waters and fish...
Two of my very least favorite things.
How cute is our little Mexican in his Sombraro?
Entering the city wall at the other ruins we visited, Tulum.
More ruins at Tulum.
Tulum is right on the coast and is absolutely beautiful.
By far my favorite out of any of the ruins we've visited.
Family picture on the beach!
Family picture with the monkey.
He was so cute and fun to play with!
We were definitely given a big reality check this year on spring break.
Turns out you can't take a vacation from being a parent.
Who would've thought?!
Anyway, it was definitely different not being able to just relax the
whole time and not worry about any responsibilities.
But we still had a blast on our first vacation as a family.
We're looking forward to many more vacations in the future!

What a fun trip! Creepy that you guys zip-lined over CROCODILES! Lawson is getting so old and big, but getting even cuter :)
Oh what a fun trip for you guys! Love all the pics, the more the merrier! I'm so jealous of those sandy beaches and blue ocean, we so need some sun and nice weather around here. Glad you guys had fun!
