So it's that time of year again!
Every summer for my entire life I've always gone to Savannah, Georgia to visit my extended family.
And even once I was married and even had a kid that still hasn't changed!
This annual trip to Georgia is by far one of the highlights of each summer.
There's nothing much better than getting together with family that you only get to see once a year and having fun together!
Since we live in Texas now, we decided that it would be much more cost effective for us to drive rather than fly especially since plane tickets were costing around $600 each (ridiculous!)
So we packed our car full and took off on our 15 hour car trip!
We were pretty leary about that long of a trip with an almost two year old but he actually did surprisingly good considering!
Well, on the car ride out there at least.
Coming back home was a different story...
On the way home he discovered a "fun" game of saying "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy" over and over again until he got my attention and then he would just laugh and laugh.
And then as soon as I would turn away he was start saying "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy" all over again until I would turn around again.
This continued for at least 3 hours at one point.
It's a good thing that kid is so dang cute!
While in Georgia it pretty much rained every single day so that made it kinda hard to enjoy my aunt's swimming pool but we tried to make do the best we could.
Here's a few pictures of one of the few days we could actually make it into the water in between rain storms...

He also loved jumping off the edge to Daddy!
Travis would even let him go under the water and he stilled loved it.
(Mommy on the other hand did not love that idea so much...)
After playing in the cold pool water there's nothing better than the hot tub!
(Except for pregnant me...boo!)

Lawson was basically Colin's shadow the entire two weeks we were there.
He didn't want anything to do with anyone else!
My family lives on a lot of land so they have a golf cart that they drive around.
Needless to say, Lawson quickly became obsessed with driving the golf cart around and we spent a lot of time cruising with him!
One day we stopped by Mrs. Wilkes for lunch.
For those who don't know, Mrs. Wilkes is in downtown Savannah and serves the absolute best southern food I have ever tasted!
We had to wait in line outside for about 2 hours before we could be seated but it was totally worth it.
Poor Lawson was exhausted from the wait and then stuffing himself and so he sacked out before the rest of us were done.
A stomach full of great southern food tends to do that to people!

But we'll definitely be back again next summer!

Looks like you guys had fun! I love Travis' farmer's tan and the picture of Lawson asleep on you. Apparently he doesn't mind the bump! ;-)
