Osler Society Gala

So every year the medical school puts on a fundraising gala to help raise money for some volunteer programs they run here.

So Travis and I decided to do something out of the ordinary for once and get a babysitter for Lawson and enjoy a night out by ourselves!
(Oh and the fact that they were doing a raffle drawing for a free 32" TV may or may not have contributed to our eagerness to attend...)

By donating $20 to a good cause we were able to get an awesome dinner, $20,000 in fake chips for the "casino", and one free raffle ticket each.

The food was seriously amazing.
They had one of the best salads I've ever tasted.
I even went back for extra helpings because it was that good...
I'm pregnant so it was not looked down on in the slightest in my mind!

After dinner we headed into the "casino" where we spent the night playing Roulette to win more fake chips to cash in for more raffle tickets.
By the end of the night we ended up with 19 tickets total between the two of us.
Not too bad, eh?

And guess where all 19 of our tickets went?
Right  into the bag for that free 32" TV we were dying to get our hands on.

Unfortunately, after waiting through a million other raffle prizes to be selected we were indeed not drawn to win said TV.
Boo...

Looks like we're going to have to stop being lazy and get our current TV, which one broken by one sneaky little monkey named Lawson, fixed somehow.

Although we didn't win our dream TV,
it was still a great night for us to get out and do something fun by ourselves.
As much as we love our little guy, it's so nice to enjoy
a nice night together without having to worry about him!
