So Travis and I officially graduated from BYU last week!
It feels so good to officially be done even though we technically graduated back in December.
Elder Richard G. Scott gave the Commencement Speech on Thursday and I loved it!
He gave us some great advice and tips for the future along with some great spiritual inspiration.
Here's a list of the10 things he wanted us graduates to remember:
1. Establish a set of principles to guide your life
2. Don't make exceptions to your standards
3. Be loyal
4. Live so that the Lord can guide you to where he wants you to serve
5. Serve others
6. Smile
7. Don't complain
8. Always have a church assignment
9. Go to the temple
10. Use the Savior, Jesus Christ, as an example in your life
What a great list to help guide us through this next stage of our life together!
Travis had to work on Thursday so he flew in that night in order to
attend our actual graduation ceremony the next day.
He wasn't too enthused about the ceremony but since he
knew how it was important to me he decided to endured it all just for me!
It wasn't all that bad because we were able to sit right next to each other and be called right after one another.
It was so nice to have my best friend and husband right by my side as I graduated from college.
I love sharing moments like these with him!
The happy graduates!
Travis' mom drove out with me and Lawson.
Thanks for making the long trek out with us!
The Bouvang clan...
(My mom was excited because this was the last time she would ever have to step foot on BYU campus ever again...)
Check out our little Cougar here decked out in his BYU gear!
Afterward, we had a family BBQ together and had a great time eating, playing games, and just being together.
All in all, it was a great graduation week for me and Travis.
Now it's on to grown up life and the real world for us!
